KPMG and HKPEFA cordially invite you to join the Hong Kong Private Funds Finance Forum 2026 on Thursday, 24 September 2026.
The private funds industry has been evolving in the past few years with increasing investor demands, complex geo-political issues, and a more challenging regulatory environment. Join us for a series of interactive discussions among industry experts, peers and professionals to address the intricate operating matrix and long-term sustainability for Asian private fund managers.
Together, we will explore the following themes in four panels:
- Maneuvering Tightened Tax Regimes: This panel evaluates and highlights the taxation policies on carried interest, tax audits, fund exemptions in major jurisdictions of US, Hong Kong and mainland China for private funds. The panel will also provide latest developments on China's Individual Income Tax (IIT) on offshore income and trust arrangements;
- Fund Structuring in a Fragmented World: Experts will provide updates on parallel funds; Cayman, the Hong Kong Limited Partnership Fund (LPF) and other fund platforms; continuation funds and GP-led transactions, as well as NAV facilities, tender offers and other tools available to managers navigating longer holding periods;
- Risk Mitigation - Key for Long-Term Sustainability: Specialists will discuss operational risk management strategies, cyber insurance, data security, Directors and Officers (D&O) liability coverage, and transaction risk solutions including Warranty & Indemnity (W&I) insurance;
- Fundraising in Asia - Differentiation and Structuring Amidst an Evolving Investment Landscape: Industry veterans will delve into how Asian fund manager can remain competitive by tailoring fund structures and deal driven approaches for LPs, achieving differentiation via sector and sub-sector expertise, and addressing nuanced questions and concerns from LPs looking to access the Asian and Greater China markets.
